A book about the life story of a young boy growing up in Greece in the early 1960’s aiming to be accepted in the military Academy to become an army officer. The dream is destroyed because of the political environment at the time with the young man deciding to immigrate to Australia but various events take place and he ends up in New Zealand in the early 1970s. He commences a successful Banking career, then moving to Sydney where he became a wealthy property investor. His aim at all times is to eventually return to Greece to find the woman who betrayed his love when they were both at University and get his revenge but ….

Nik Zahariadis was born and educated in Greece (University of Thessaloniki – School of Literature) and immigrated to New Zealand in 1970 where after 14 months as factory worker, commenced a successful career in Banking. He retired as the Audit Manager, Corporate & Commercial Banking, from one of New Zealand’s major trading Banks but always wanted to try his hand in writing and started with this book which is 25% fact and the balance interesting fiction. He lives in Wellington with his wife of 40 years Katherina. They have two adult children and five grandchildren.
